This position is an Assistant Vice President and will be considered a substitute of the Manager position in the event the Manager is unavailable. 

This position will be responsible for the following:

Manage the day to day operations of the team. 

Coach and mentor team members.

Interact with the Sales Team, Sr. Management , and Credit Risk Groups in order to determine settlement strategies and alternatives.

Direct negotiations with clients when necessary.

Review recommendations from the team members for resolutions and determine if acceptable.

Recommend actions to be taken to the Manager in order to resolve outstanding obligations.

Monitor recoveries and any trends and report to Manager.

Identify and implement process improvements.

Work with Business team in order to enhance the Collections Database.

Responsible for updating and implementing procedure changes.

Qualifications:

This position will require the following:

6 – 10 years mortgage banking experience

Strong negotiating skills

Collections Experience

Recent management skills

Proven leadership skills

Knowledge of mortgage servicing a plus

Ability to analyze and interpret data

Demonstrate sound decision making skills capable of exercising considerable latitude in  determining technical and subjective decision making

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Ability to communicate across all levels of management
